Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have had genetic counseling and testing for BRCA1 and/or BRCA2 gene mutations at an approved, certified laboratory
  • Your genetic test results showed that you carry a known harmful gene mutation
  • Your test results were shared with you within the last 3 weeks
  • Your medical records are available for the research team to review
  • You are able to provide a DNA sample, either through a blood draw or a mouthwash sample
  • You have access to a telephone and a computer or other device that can connect to the internet
  • You have not yet had surgery to remove both breasts or both ovaries and fallopian tubes as a preventive measure

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have already had surgery to remove both breasts as a preventive measure
  • You have already had surgery to remove both ovaries and fallopian tubes as a preventive measure
