Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS), meaning your MS comes in episodes or "attacks" followed by periods of recovery, confirmed using 2017 diagnostic guidelines.
  • You have had at least 1 MS attack/relapse in the past year, OR at least 2 MS attacks/relapses in the past 2 years, OR a recent brain scan (MRI) within the last 6 months showed signs of active inflammation in the brain or spine.
  • Your level of disability, as measured by a standard MS scoring scale (EDSS), falls between 0 and 5.5, meaning anywhere from no disability to moderate disability affecting walking.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a form of MS that is progressive (such as primary or secondary progressive MS), rather than relapsing-remitting.
  • You have another active or long-term condition affecting your immune system, separate from MS.
  • You have a significant ongoing condition affecting your heart, liver, nervous system, or another major body system.
  • There are additional criteria not listed here that the trial team will check (confirm with trial site).
