Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), shown by having at least two of these three signs: irregular or absent periods, higher-than-normal male hormone levels (detected through symptoms or blood tests), or cysts on the ovaries seen on an ultrasound.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a condition called congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which is an inherited hormonal disorder affecting the adrenal glands.
  • You have a thyroid condition (such as an underactive or overactive thyroid).
  • You have higher-than-normal levels of a hormone called prolactin in your blood.
  • You have a tumor that produces male hormones (confirm with trial site).
  • You have a condition called Cushing syndrome, which involves too much of the stress hormone cortisol in the body.
  • You are currently taking any medication to treat PCOS or to help with weight loss.
