Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 27 or higher, AND your waist measures 90cm (about 35 inches) or more if you are a man, or 80cm (about 31 inches) or more if you are a woman
- Your body fat percentage is 25% or higher if you are a man, or 30% or higher if you are a woman
- You have tested positive for a stomach bacteria called H. pylori (confirmed by a specific breath test)
- You have a score of 0.5 on a memory and thinking assessment called the Clinical Dementia Rating scale, which suggests very mild cognitive concerns (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- Your BMI is below 27
- You have a serious long-term illness affecting your liver, heart, or kidneys
- You drink alcohol heavily or excessively
- You are a smoker
- You are currently taking any supplements containing berries, or you have known allergies to berries
- You have previously been treated for H. pylori infection with a standard antibiotic treatment course (known as "triple therapy")
