NCT05215782
Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 50 and 90 years old (male or female)
- You or someone who knows you well has noticed memory or thinking problems, and a doctor is currently looking into whether Alzheimer's disease may be the cause
- You have shown signs of memory or thinking difficulties on at least one standard test (such as the MMSE or MoCA), or scored significantly lower than most people your age on a memory or thinking test
- Your memory or thinking difficulties cannot be fully explained by another illness, brain condition, or mental health condition other than Alzheimer's disease
- You are able to give your own consent to take part, or you have a legally authorised representative who can do so on your behalf
- You are able to have both PET and MRI brain scans
Who may not be able to join:
- You have an eye condition that would prevent clear photos of the back of your eye (retina) being taken, or that could affect how those images are analysed — this includes conditions such as glaucoma, certain types of cataracts, macular degeneration, significant drusen deposits, retinal scarring or swelling, papilledema, poor ability to hold your gaze steady, a prescription outside the range of -15 to +15, or certain other eye or lens problems (confirm with trial site for full details)
- Your pupils cannot be safely dilated, or do not dilate wide enough (at least 6mm) for the eye imaging to work properly
- The eye camera used in this trial is unable to capture at least 3 clear enough images of your retina
- A satisfactory PET brain scan cannot be obtained for the imaging specialists to review
- You are currently taking part in another study involving medication aimed at reducing amyloid (a protein linked to Alzheimer's disease) in the brain
Important: Always verify eligibility with the trial site directly before applying.
Based on publicly available eligibility criteria from ClinicalTrials.gov. Verify directly with the trial site before acting. This is not medical advice.
