Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 65 years of age or older
- You speak English
- You have noticed that your memory or thinking has gotten worse over the last 1–3 years and feel this is worse than others your age, but a standard phone-based memory test shows your thinking is still in the normal range
- You are able to manage your daily life independently without help from others
- You are not currently living an active, healthy lifestyle on a regular basis — for example, you do not exercise regularly
- Your primary care doctor has given you the go-ahead to take part, especially because the study involves physical exercise
- You are open to using digital tools, such as a digital calendar, in your everyday life
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with dementia or any form of cognitive impairment
- You have a known brain or nervous system condition that could affect your thinking, such as Parkinson's disease
- You have a history of a severe mental health condition, such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or another psychotic disorder
- You have serious vision or hearing difficulties that would prevent you from completing the study activities
- You have previously taken part in an earlier version of this program (called Brain Boosters) or another study that used the Digital Memory Notebook app or a tool called EMMA
