Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have a complex anal fistula related to Crohn's disease (a type of inflammatory bowel condition) that is classified as a certain type based on its location or complexity (such as being deep, high up, having 2 or more openings on the skin, or having an associated abscess nearby)
  • You have a fistula between the rectum and vagina (an abnormal tunnel connecting these two areas) diagnosed by a doctor as being related to Crohn's disease
  • You have a complex anal fistula that is not related to Crohn's disease, but meets certain criteria based on its location or type (such as being mid or high level, located toward the front of the body in women, or forming a horseshoe shape)
  • Your doctor has already decided that you need a specific surgical procedure to treat your fistula

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves a treatment or intervention
  • You have a Crohn's disease-related anal fistula that connects to the bladder or any other internal organ
  • You have a complex anal fistula that is not related to Crohn's disease, but you have been diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease such as Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease
