Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman between 18 and 50 years old
  • You have not yet gone through menopause
  • Your uterine cancer has been identified as a specific type called "endometrioid" based on tissue testing
  • You are scheduled to have surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC)
  • Your cancer is an early stage (FIGO grade 1–2, stage I), meaning it appears to be at a lower severity and has not spread
  • Scans (preferably MRI) show the cancer is contained within the uterus and has not grown deeply into the uterine wall
  • Your ovaries appear normal on pre-surgery scans
  • You are able to give your informed consent to participate
  • You are an English speaker

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have been diagnosed with Lynch syndrome (an inherited condition that increases cancer risk)
  • You have previously had both ovaries surgically removed
  • You have a personal history of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer
  • You or close family members have a history that suggests an increased risk of ovarian cancer
  • You are currently taking hormonal contraception, letrozole, or tamoxifen — this may prevent you from taking part in one specific part of the study (confirm with trial site)
  • You have had ovarian stimulation (such as for fertility treatment) within the last 3 months — this may affect eligibility for one part of the study (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a condition affecting your pituitary gland — this may affect eligibility for one part of the study (confirm with trial site)
  • You finished chemotherapy less than 12 months ago — this may affect eligibility for one part of the study (confirm with trial site)
