Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be 18 years old or older
  • You must be caring for someone with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (their memory/thinking test score is 19 or below out of 30)
  • You must be a close family member of the person with Alzheimer's
  • You must be the main person responsible for caring for them
  • You must be willing to volunteer to take part in the study
  • You must be able to communicate without any difficulties

Who may not be able to join:

  • People under the age of 18 cannot take part
  • You cannot join if you are caring for someone with advanced (severe) Alzheimer's disease
  • You cannot join if you are a paid carer rather than a family member
  • You cannot join if you have difficulties with communication
  • You cannot join if the person you care for scores above 20 on a standard memory and thinking test called the MMSE (confirm with trial site)
