Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You have had type 2 diabetes for more than 1 year
  • You are starting a medication called dapagliflozin or a DPP-4 inhibitor, taken together with metformin and/or insulin

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have type 1 diabetes
  • You are under 18 or over 80 years old
  • You are currently taking or have previously taken another medication from the same drug family as dapagliflozin, known as SGLT2 inhibitors (confirm with trial site)
  • You have kidney disease where your kidneys are not filtering blood well enough — specifically, your kidney filtering rate (eGFR) is below 60 ml/min/1.73m² (confirm with trial site)
