Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are able to give your own consent to take part in the study
• You are 18 years of age or older
• You have been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease for more than 3 months, confirmed by a gut specialist
• Your condition is currently rated as mild to moderate in severity, based on standard scoring tools used by your doctor (confirm with trial site)
• If you take certain medications (such as anti-inflammatory tablets, steroids, or immune-suppressing drugs), you have been on a stable dose for a set period of time before joining — the exact timeframe depends on which medication you take (confirm with trial site)
• You are willing to take part in all parts of the study and sign a consent form
• You do not have any other significant health condition that would affect the study results
• You can read and understand English and are able to follow the study schedule and instructions

Who may not be able to join:

• You have taken antibiotics in the last four weeks
• You have a known allergy to nuts, soy, eggs, or dairy
• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• You follow a vegetarian, vegan, or low FODMAP diet
• You have dementia or are unable to understand what the trial involves
• You have ulcerative colitis that affects only a very small area of the bowel (less than 15cm, known as proctitis)
• You have Crohn's disease that is either very severe or currently in remission
• You have Crohn's disease complications affecting other parts of the body, or have a fixed bowel narrowing or bowel blockage (confirm with trial site)
