Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with advanced or inoperable bile duct cancer (either inside or outside the liver) or gallbladder cancer, confirmed by a tissue test.
- Your cancer can be measured on scans, based on standard medical guidelines.
- You have a history of hepatitis B or hepatitis C, as long as you meet certain other study requirements (confirm with trial site).
- You are able to provide either a stored tumor tissue sample from a previous biopsy or a new tissue sample taken from your tumor.
- Doctors expect you to live for more than 3 months.
- Your organs (such as liver, kidneys, and heart) are working well enough to participate (confirm with trial site).
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already received treatment aimed at your advanced or inoperable bile duct or gallbladder cancer through the bloodstream (such as chemotherapy or targeted therapy).
- You have been diagnosed with a type of cancer called ampullary cancer.
- You have small cell cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, lymphoma, sarcoma, or certain other specific types of tumors.
- You have previously been treated with certain immune system therapies, sometimes called checkpoint inhibitors (such as anti-PD-1, anti-PD-L1, anti-PD-L2, anti-CTLA-4, or similar drugs).
- You have cancer that has spread to your brain or the lining around your brain or spinal cord.
- You have previously received a transplant of an organ or tissue from another person.
