Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Women who have a non-cancerous ovarian cyst that is likely to come back, such as an endometrioma (chocolate cyst), dermoid cyst, or mucinous cyst
  • Women who have had previous ovarian surgery and/or have a high risk of damage to their ovaries, such as having cysts on both ovaries or a cyst larger than 5 cm
  • Women who have social insurance coverage
  • Women who are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women whose ovarian cysts are classified as "borderline" tumors (not fully benign but not fully cancerous — confirm with trial site)
  • Women whose AMH levels (a hormone used to measure ovarian reserve) are too low to be measured by standard tests
  • Women who have a personal history of blood clots in their veins or arteries (such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism)
  • Women who are currently pregnant
