Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease based on established medical guidelines (confirm with trial site)
  • OR you have noticed memory or thinking problems yourself, but formal cognitive tests show your results are within the normal range for someone your age and education level, and your daily activities are not affected

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a form of dementia other than Alzheimer's, such as vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, or dementia related to Parkinson's disease
  • You have another condition that could affect memory or thinking tests, such as severe depression, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, psychosis, or bipolar disorder
  • You are currently a smoker
  • You have diabetes
  • You have high blood pressure that is not well controlled, even with blood pressure medication (confirm with trial site)
  • You have heart failure
  • You have had a heart attack recently
  • You have had a stroke
  • You have a significant narrowing or blockage in one of the main arteries in your neck (confirm with trial site)
  • A brain scan (MRI) has shown significant damage to the white matter of your brain or signs of previous small strokes (confirm with trial site)
