Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are the parent of a child who is between 12 and 36 months old and had surgery as a newborn for one of the following conditions: oesophageal atresia (a problem with the food pipe), congenital diaphragmatic hernia (a hole in the diaphragm), or short bowel syndrome (a condition where part of the intestine is missing or removed)
  • You lived with your child during their first year of life
  • You are covered by French social security (health insurance)
  • You speak French

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are not legally able to give their own consent, or who are under a legal protection arrangement such as guardianship or tutorship
  • People who are currently in prison or otherwise deprived of their liberty
  • People who are under 18 years old
  • People who are currently pregnant

Level of the dynamics parental adjustment for the period from the announcement of the diagnosis to one year of the child with a rare abdominothoracic malformation requiring neonatal surgery.
