Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • Women who have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) based on specific medical guidelines (called Rotterdam and NIH criteria)
  • Healthy women without PCOS who can take part as comparison participants

Who may not be able to join:

  • Anyone with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or higher (this is a measure of body weight relative to height — confirm with trial site if unsure of your BMI)
  • Women in the PCOS group who have been diagnosed with diabetes
  • Women in the healthy comparison group who have been diagnosed with prediabetes or diabetes
