Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a higher-than-usual level of depressive symptoms, shown by scoring 20 or above on a standard depression questionnaire called the CES-D
Who may not be able to join:
- You have already been diagnosed with major depression
- You are currently having active thoughts of or behaviors related to suicide
- You are currently enrolled in a special school program due to academic or behavioral difficulties

Primary endpoints
Number of participants who develop a major depressive episode as measured using the SCID diagnostic interview (posttest, 6 month follow-up); Change in depressive symptoms as measured using continuous SCID scores (baseline, posttest, 6-month follow-up); Change in depressive symptoms as measured using the CES-D questionnaire (baseline, posttest, 6-month follow-up); Change in depressive symptoms as measured using the PHQ-9 questionnaire (baseline, posttest, 6-month follow-up)
