Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman with breast cancer who is under 41 years old
  • You have been referred to a fertility preservation service before starting chemotherapy

Who may not be able to join:

  • Your breast cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic breast cancer)
  • You have already been diagnosed with early menopause or premature ovarian failure
  • Your baseline FSH (a hormone level measured by a blood test) is above 20 IU — this is a measure of ovarian function (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a medical condition that means surgery would not be safe for you
