Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have a narrowing or abnormality in the lower part of your voice box/upper windpipe (an area called the subglottis)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are under 18 years of age
  • You are not able to give your own consent to participate in the trial
  • You have had a serious injury to your voice box or windpipe in the past
  • You had a breathing tube placed down your throat, or a surgical airway opening in your neck (tracheotomy), within the last 2 years
  • You have had major surgery on the front of your neck
  • You have had radiation treatment to your neck
  • You have had damage to your voice box or windpipe caused by swallowing a harmful chemical or by heat/burns
  • You have been diagnosed with a condition where your immune system attacks your blood vessels (vasculitis) or your connective tissues (confirm with trial site)
  • You have had a specific blood test come back positive for certain immune system markers called antinuclear cytoplasmic antibodies (confirm with trial site)
