Who might be able to join this trial:

• You have a caregiver who knows you well and can be relied upon to support you.
• You are living at home or in the community (not currently staying in a hospital).
• You have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease (AD).
• Your Alzheimer's disease is considered mild to moderate in severity.
• You are already taking a stable dose of a type of medication called an AChEI (a common type of Alzheimer's medication, such as donepezil or rivastigmine).
• If you are a woman, you either went through natural menopause at least 2 years ago, or you have had a surgical procedure meaning you cannot become pregnant.
• If you are a man, you agree to use effective contraception during the trial if your female partner could become pregnant, or you have already had a surgical procedure meaning you cannot father children.

Who may not be able to join:

• You have signs of another significant brain or nervous system condition besides Alzheimer's disease.
• You have been diagnosed with certain other mental health conditions (beyond Alzheimer's disease) as defined by a standard medical classification system (confirm with trial site).
• You have evidence of another serious significant medical illness or condition (confirm with trial site for details).
• It is expected that your current Alzheimer's medication (AChEI) may be stopped or interrupted at any point during the trial.
• You are currently taking a medication called memantine, or you have taken it within the last 2 months.
