Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be 18 years of age or older
  • You must be well enough to carry out light activity and care for yourself (your doctor can assess this using a standard fitness scale)
  • You must have been diagnosed with either pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery, or ovarian cancer that has stopped responding to platinum-based treatment, and your cancer must be at a stage where it cannot be cured and no standard treatment options are available
  • You must have at least one area of cancer that can be clearly measured on a CT scan
  • Your blood, kidneys, and liver must be functioning well enough to take part (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have received any cancer treatment — such as chemotherapy, biological therapy, experimental treatment, or hormone therapy — within the last 4 weeks before the trial starts
  • You currently have an active infection
  • You are still experiencing side effects from previous cancer treatment that are moderate or severe, or you have moderate to severe nerve problems (such as numbness or tingling) from prior treatment
  • You have cancer that has spread to the brain and has not yet been treated, or is currently active
  • You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
