Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease based on recognised medical guidelines
  • Your score on a standard memory and thinking test (called the K-MMSE) is between 10 and 24, indicating mild to moderate difficulties
  • You have a trusted family member, carer, or guardian who can reliably support you during the trial

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have been diagnosed with a brain tumour, syphilis affecting the brain, meningitis, encephalitis, or epilepsy
  • You have a significant mental health condition such as severe depression or schizophrenia
  • You have stomach or peptic ulcers that have not responded to treatment
  • You have a serious ongoing condition affecting the liver, kidneys, lungs, or hormone-producing glands, such as thyroid problems, parathyroid problems, pituitary problems, kidney failure, or diabetes
