Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) confirmed by a tissue or cell sample, and have not yet received treatment for it
  • Your lung cancer is at an advanced stage (stage IIIA or IIIB) that cannot be treated with surgery
  • Your cancer can be measured on scans using a standard method called RECIST
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You are generally able to carry out normal daily activities with little or no limitation (confirm with trial site)
  • Your blood counts are within acceptable ranges, including enough white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets
  • Your kidneys are working well enough, based on blood and urine tests
  • Your liver is working well enough, based on blood tests measuring liver enzymes and waste products
  • Your lungs have enough breathing capacity, based on a breathing test result
  • A standard blood chemistry test (called CB6) comes back normal (confirm with trial site)
  • You are willing and able to give written consent to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have had another type of cancer in the past
  • You have any medical reason why you cannot receive chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy
  • Your cancer has spread to other parts of the body beyond the chest
  • You have cancer-related fluid build-up around your lungs or heart
  • You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • You have a pre-existing condition that affects your blood's ability to clot properly
