Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman aged 35 or older
  • You have finished having children and are not planning any more pregnancies
  • You carry a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation, or you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer
  • You are not willing or ready to have surgery to remove both ovaries and fallopian tubes
  • You may or may not have had breast cancer
  • You are covered by health insurance
  • You are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the trial

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have already gone through menopause, which in this trial means: you have had both ovaries removed (without a hysterectomy) and have had no periods for more than 12 months and/or have a certain hormone level in your blood (FSH above 20 UI/l), OR you have had your womb removed and have that same hormone level (FSH above 20 UI/l) (confirm with trial site)
  • You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
