Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with, or show signs of, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) — this means having at least one of the following: higher-than-normal male hormone levels (shown by symptoms or a blood test), irregular or absent periods, or polycystic ovaries seen on an ultrasound.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another hormonal condition, such as high prolactin levels, a specific adrenal gland disorder, or a tumor that produces male hormones (confirm with trial site).
- You are currently pregnant or have been breastfeeding in the last 6 months.
- You are experiencing symptoms of menopause.
- You have a language barrier or a condition that makes it difficult to understand the information provided about the trial.
Additional note:
- If you are currently taking the contraceptive pill or medications that help the body use insulin (such as metformin), you may still be able to join, but your results would be looked at separately from other participants (confirm with trial site).

Primary endpoints
Prevalence/probability of PCOS among obese, premenopausal women (between 18 and 50 years) with no symptoms of classic menopausal symptoms in Sweden.
