Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes
  • You are taking insulin at a stable, consistent dose as set out by the trial rules
  • If you take metformin, you have been taking it at a stable, consistent dose as set out by the trial rules
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • Your HbA1c (a blood test that shows your average blood sugar levels over recent months) is between 7.5% and 11.0%
  • Your Body Mass Index (BMI, a measure of body weight relative to height) is between 22 and 40

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have Type 1 diabetes
  • You use short-acting or rapid-acting insulin
  • You are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • You have serious complications related to your diabetes
  • You have serious heart or blood vessel complications
  • Your blood test results fall outside the ranges allowed by the trial rules
  • There may be other requirements not listed here (confirm with trial site)
