Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes that is considered well controlled, but you still experience about 2 to 3 low blood sugar episodes per week.
- You are between 18 and 50 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI — a measure based on your height and weight) is between 18 and 30.
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant.
- You have serious complications related to your diabetes.
- You have liver disease or cirrhosis (scarring of the liver).
- You have a heart or cardiac condition.
- You have a neurological disorder (a condition affecting the brain or nervous system).
- You have autonomic neuropathy (a type of nerve damage that affects automatic body functions like heart rate or digestion — confirm with trial site).
- You have kidney disease.
- You have lactose intolerance (difficulty digesting dairy products).
