Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for at least 12 months
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35.0 or below (BMI is a measure based on your height and weight)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have donated blood or plasma in the past month, or donated more than 500 mL (about a pint) of blood in the past 3 months
  • You smoke more than 5 cigarettes a day, or the equivalent amount using other tobacco products
  • You are not able or willing to stop smoking and avoid nicotine products (such as nicotine gum or nicotine patches) during the time you would need to stay at the trial site
