Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer (specifically vulvar, cervical, or uterine cancer)
  • You have had surgery for gynecologic cancer that included removal of lymph nodes
  • You currently show no signs of active cancer and are not receiving cancer treatment
  • You are 21 years of age or older
  • You are able and willing to give your consent to take part in the study
  • You can speak and understand English
  • For the main study group: You have been diagnosed with swelling in your lower limbs (legs) caused by a build-up of lymph fluid (lymphedema)
  • For the comparison group: You have never had lymphedema in your lower limbs, and this will be confirmed by a measurement at the time of the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are unable to go through the process of understanding and agreeing to take part in the study
  • You have a mental health condition that would prevent you from completing a survey

Primary endpoints

To determine if the Gynecologic Cancer Lymphedema Questionnaire (GCLQ)tools detects lower extremity lymphedema symptoms in gynecologic cancer survivors & if it is a feasible assessment tool which can be used in the clinical care setting.
