Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You must be married
  • You are a woman between 18 and 40 years old who has higher than normal levels of male hormones (androgens) and wants to become pregnant
  • You have irregular or absent ovulation (your body either rarely releases eggs or does not release them at all)
  • Your fallopian tubes are open and unblocked
  • Your partner has been tested and has normal sperm results

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a tumour that produces male hormones (androgens)
  • You have diabetes
  • You have a thyroid condition or disorder
  • You have higher than normal levels of a hormone called prolactin (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a hormone condition called adult onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia (confirm with trial site)
  • Your ovaries have a reduced ability to produce eggs (confirm with trial site)
  • You have used any hormone-based medications in the two months before the trial begins
