Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be older than 18 years of age
- You must have a combined risk score for blood clots (calculated by medical staff) higher than 4
- You must not currently be receiving any medication or physical treatment to prevent blood clots (such as blood thinners or compression devices)
- You must be a patient in either a medical or surgical ward
Who may not be able to join:
- Your blood clot risk score is below 4
- You are already receiving medication or a physical treatment (such as compression stockings or devices) to prevent blood clots
- You are a patient in any of the following departments: Neurology, Newborn Services, Rehabilitation Units, or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
