Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are a woman (aged 18 or older, either before or after menopause) who has been scheduled for abdominal or keyhole surgery because a pelvic mass was found
  • The pelvic mass can be a simple, complex, or solid cyst or growth in the pelvic area
  • Your pelvic mass has been confirmed by an ultrasound scan
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have been treated for any cancer (except certain common skin cancers) within the last five years
  • You are currently receiving certain chemotherapy drugs, such as cyclophosphamide or methotrexate
  • You have previously had both ovaries surgically removed
  • You are known to be pregnant
