Who might be able to join this trial:

You are older than 60 years of age
You are experiencing symptoms of depression along with anxiety, measured as moderate or severe on a standard depression rating scale (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

You have taken part in another clinical study within the 3 months before this trial starts
You have a known allergy or sensitivity to the medication venlafaxine
You have certain significant health abnormalities that would make taking venlafaxine unsuitable for you, based on the medication's official guidelines (confirm with trial site)
