Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are a woman aged 18 or older
- You have been diagnosed with one of the following cancers: epithelial ovarian cancer, peritoneal cavity cancer, or fallopian tube cancer
- You have had no more than 2 previous chemotherapy treatments, and your most recent chemotherapy included a platinum-based drug
- Your cancer has gotten worse, or you have developed symptoms of it coming back, either during your last treatment or within 6 months of finishing it
- It has been at least 4 weeks since your last radiation therapy or chemotherapy
- It has been at least 3 weeks since your last immunotherapy treatment
- You have recovered well enough from any previous surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy (hair loss does not count against this)
- Your doctors expect you to live for at least 3 more months
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had more than 2 previous chemotherapy treatments
- You have previously been treated with a type of drug called epothilones
- You have taken an experimental/investigational drug within the past 4 weeks, or have not fully recovered from its side effects
- You have previously had radiation treatment covering your entire pelvic area
- You have cancer that has spread to the brain and is causing symptoms that require whole-brain radiation treatment
- You currently have an active infection
- You have or have had another type of cancer, unless it was non-melanoma skin cancer, early-stage cervical cancer (carcinoma in situ), or a cancer that was treated 5 or more years ago with no return
- You have a type of tumor called a mixed mesodermal tumor
- You have received hormone therapy for any cancer within the past month
- You are a woman who could become pregnant (confirm with trial site)
