NCT00183794
Completed Phase 2

Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with epithelial ovarian cancer, confirmed by a lab test of tissue samples
  • Your cancer has stopped responding to platinum-based chemotherapy, meaning it either got worse during that treatment or came back within 6 months of finishing it
  • Your cancer can be measured or detected — this includes having a significantly elevated CA-125 blood marker (100 or above, confirmed on two separate tests at least 2 weeks apart), though having positive fluid cytology alone does not qualify
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself (confirm with trial site regarding the specific activity level required)
  • Your blood counts, kidney function, and liver function meet certain minimum health levels (the trial site will check these through blood tests)
  • You have fully recovered from any side effects caused by previous cancer treatments
  • You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have previously been treated with the chemotherapy drugs gemcitabine or docetaxel
  • You have an existing medical, mental health, or personal situation that would make receiving treatment difficult or unsafe (confirm with trial site)
  • You have nerve damage or numbness in your hands or feet that is moderate or severe
  • You have never previously been treated with platinum-based chemotherapy drugs (such as cisplatin or carboplatin)

Important: Always verify eligibility with the trial site directly before applying.

Based on publicly available eligibility criteria from ClinicalTrials.gov. Verify directly with the trial site before acting. This is not medical advice.

Phase 2: approximately ~30% of drugs entering this phase reach regulatory approval, based on published industry-wide historical data. This is not specific to this trial.
