Who may be able to join

Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer that started in the lining of the abdomen, confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy)
  • Your cancer was at an advanced stage (Stage IIC or higher) when first diagnosed
  • You have already completed a course of chemotherapy treatment
  • You have had surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible (called cytoreductive surgery)
  • A second surgical procedure (called a second-look surgery) has shown that visible cancer is still present
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are in reasonably good general health, able to carry out normal activities with some effort (confirm with trial site)
  • Your blood platelet count (cells that help with clotting) is at an acceptable level
  • Your liver is working well enough, based on blood test results
  • Your kidneys are working well enough, based on blood test results

Who may not be able to join:

  • You have a known allergy or sensitivity to the study drug (taurolidine) or any of its ingredients
  • Your blood clotting test results are significantly abnormal (confirm with trial site)
  • You have another serious medical condition that could interfere with taking part in the study
  • You have taken part in another clinical trial using an experimental drug within the last 30 days
