Who may be able to join
Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that is "limited stage," confirmed by a tissue sample (biopsy)
- Your cancer has shown a complete response (disappeared, at least on chest X-ray) after your initial treatment
- You have had a brain CT scan or MRI within the last month that came back normal
- Your cancer has not spread to other parts of the body, including to the other lung or into fluid around the lungs
- You are aged 70 or under
- You are reasonably active and able to care for yourself (your doctor will assess this using a standard scale)
Who may not be able to join:
- You have had a stroke or other blood vessel-related brain condition in the past
- You have epilepsy that requires you to take medication by mouth on an ongoing basis
- You have had another type of cancer before, unless it was a skin cancer or a very early-stage cervical cancer
- You are currently receiving chemotherapy (other treatments may still be allowed — confirm with trial site)
- You are currently taking any other anti-cancer treatment not specified as allowed (confirm with trial site)
