Who may be able to join

"Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have low blood pressure when standing up (called orthostatic hypotension), meaning your systolic blood pressure drops by at least 20 points and your diastolic blood pressure drops by at least 15 points when you go from lying down to standing.
  • You experience symptoms of low blood pressure when standing, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, unsteadiness, or vision changes like dimming or blurring.
  • You have a history of fainting or nearly fainting.
  • You are currently taking fludrocortisone (a steroid medication for blood pressure), indomethacin (an anti-inflammatory medication), wearing support/compression garments, or following a high-salt diet — these are allowed during the trial.

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently taking medications called adrenergics (medicines that stimulate the nervous system to raise blood pressure) — these are not allowed during the trial (confirm with trial site).
