Who may be able to join

"Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You have been diagnosed with Wilson disease and are experiencing neurological symptoms (such as movement or coordination problems) or psychiatric symptoms (such as mood or behavioral changes)
  • You have received no more than 2 weeks of any prior treatment for your condition

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are currently having seizures
  • Brain imaging (MRI) has shown certain changes in the white matter of your brain
  • You have taken the medications penicillamine or trientine for longer than 2 weeks
  • You have severe liver failure
  • You have a psychiatric or medical condition that would make the trial treatment unsafe for you (confirm with trial site)
  • You are pregnant
